Remarkable antique early 1900’s fully jointed monkey
with shoe button eyes
made from tan mohair
face, ears, hands and feet made from felt
manufacturer unknown, probably German and very well made
measures 33cm
stuffed with wood shavings
some of it settled
squeaker inoperative
monkey needs some TLC
he has some wear to felt hands/feet
very good overall mohair coverage
with 3 small tears
to right arm seam, near his tail and near right foot
he has a long wired tail
remnants show he used to have red floss nose stitching
great character
wearing his red felt waistcoat
exactly like he came to me
a very unusual early 1900’s monkey!
